If we make well-crafted plays that express the essence of what it is to be human, then theatre will have a future...

It’s the Intermission

Welcome to my journal! This site is called “It’s the Intermission” because it is what happens “in between” playwriting and the keeping up with my life. The opinions here are mine, although sometimes I may clearly site the opinions of others. I am not an expert, a guru, famous or failing. I write plays. I love theatre. I’m finding my way in bringing my work to life.

If you resonate with the idea of this journal, which is about my own writing process, then I hope you will return to continue reading, and even offer your own thoughts about your process. Please feel free to contact me at journal [shift+2] itstheintermission dot com.

I’m easily entertained; an important quality in a writer. I am easily bored by people who are mean-spirited, complaining, and pointing fingers.

Why I Write
